Funeral, vigil is Wednesday for Las Vegas police Explorer
The funeral for Angel Velasquez, right, the Las Vegas police Explorer who was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Aug. 1, is Wednesday. A vigil will be Wednesday night at Sahara Avenue and Van Patten Street, the site of the accident.
Funeral services for Angel Velasquez, the Las Vegas police Explorer who was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Aug. 1, are scheduled for Wednesday.
The funeral is at 12:30 p.m. at Trinity Life Church, 1000 E. St. Louis Ave. Burial will be at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
A candlelight vigil will take place at 8 p.m. Wednesday at East Sahara Avenue and Van Patten Street where the fatal accident occurred.
