Gunshot victim found in ditch, probable suicide

Homicide detectives on Sunday morning investigated the death of a man from a gunshot wound near Charleston Boulevard and Eastern Avenue.

The identity of the man was not released.

Police spokesman Marcus Martin said at 7:46 a.m. detectives were called to the 2000 block of Palm Street, where the man's body was found in a ditch.

Homicide Lt. Lew Roberts said the death appears to be a suicide.
