Las Vegas family injured in Utah crash

BEAVER, Utah — State troopers say high speed and a tire blowout likely led to a rollover crash that injured two adults and three children from Las Vegas.

Utah Highway Patrol officials say the crash happened about 2:30 p.m. Monday on Interstate 15, about 10 miles south of Beaver.

Authorities say the right front tire blew out and sent the vehicle rolling in the median.

Four of the people inside were thrown out. Officials say a 5-year-old boy has severe head trauma and a 4-year-old has a possibly broken neck. The 31-year-old father, Patrick Clayton, was airlifted to a hospital in Murray in critical condition.

Troopers say 26-year-old Eva Enriquez Plascen and a 9-year-old boy were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
