Monday' and Tuesday's temperatures tied previous heat records for July 9 and 10 at 113 and 114, respectively.

The weather service's excessive heat warning is in effect until 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The valley is expected to sink below 110 degrees for several days starting Thursday. Temperatures are expected to drop to 109 degrees on Thursday.

But humidity should increase. They are predicting a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms Thursday increasing to 30 percent for Friday and Saturday.
