Las Vegas police investigating deadly crash in east valley

A person died after a crash in the east valley on Tuesday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.

Police were called at about 4:45 p.m. to the area of McLeod Drive and East Flamingo Road, near Eastern Avenue, according to the Metropolitan Police Department website.

A person died after the crash, Lt. Chris Holmes confirmed. The area is closed while detectives investigate, Holmes said about 6:40 p.m.

Further details about the crash were not immediately available.
