October 17, 2012 - 9:11 pm
A male pedestrian was struck and killed by a motorist Wednesday night in the southwest valley, Las Vegas police said.
The identity of the deceased was not released.
Lt. Mark Reddon said the incident occurred about 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Jones Boulevard.
The pedestrian died at the scene. The driver initially left the scene, but then returned.
Reddon said it appeared alcohol was a factor in the incident.
The driver had not been arrested late Wednesday night, but the investigation was ongoing, Reddon said.
