Man found dead in hotel pool identified

The man who is believed to have drowned in the Imperial Palace hotel pool Wednesday evening has been identified as James McQuaid of Las Vegas.

The 37-year-old was found unconscious in the pool shortly before 7 p.m., Las Vegas police said. He died enroute to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.

Police said the death is believed to have been accidental. The Clark County Coroner's office has not determined how McQuaid died.
