Man killed in Boulder Highway accident identified

The Clark County coroner has identified the man killed in a five-car collision on Boulder Highway late Saturday night as Robert Terrell Lawrence, 25, of Henderson.

Police said a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer was traveling south on Boulder Highway crossing Russell Road just after 11:30 p.m. when it collided with the right front of a 2005 Toyota Corolla, which was traveling west on Russell. The Blazer also struck a 2007 Nissan Sentra that was stopped in an eastbound Russell turn lane.

The collision caused the Corolla, which police said Lawrence was driving, to cross into a left west travel lane where it collided with a 2010 Nissan Rogue that was traveling west on Russell, next to the Toyota.

The Rogue then went south on Russell and struck a traffic post.

Lawrence's Corolla continued moving and struck a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe, which was stopped in the left travel lane, eastbound on Russell.

Lawrence was not wearing a seat belt. He died at the scene, police said.

Three other adults sustained minor injuries in the collision.

The collision resulted in the 64th traffic-related fatality under the jurisdiction of Las Vegas police this year.
