Man killed when sports car hits power pole in Henderson

A 36-year-old Las Vegas man died after crashing his sports car into a power line pole on Wednesday.

Michael Borry of Las Vegas was driving his Honda S2000 northbound on Marks Street near Galleria Drive in Henderson at about 1:30 a.m. when he lost control in a curve and came off the road, according to Henderson Police. The man was the sole occupant of the car and the only driver involved in the accident. He was not wearing his seatbelt and was found dead at the scene, police said.

It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol were factors in the wreck. An investigation is ongoing.

There have been six fatal accidents in Henderson this year. Those accidents have resulted in nine deaths.
