Man who died in motorcycle accident ID’d

A 21-year-old who died after his motorcycle collided with a Hummer on Wednesday has been identified as Gerald E. Inman, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.

The Las Vegas man died of blunt force trauma to the cervical spine from the accident at the intersection of Jones Boulevard and Evergreen Avenue, near Charleston Boulevard.

Witness statements and evidence at the scene indicate the Hummer stopped in the left turn lane on southbound Jones Avenue, before turning. Inman, who was driving a Honda CBR motorcycle north, entered the intersection and crashed into the passenger side of the Hummer. He was transported to UMC where he later died.

The crash marks the 54th traffic-related fatality this year in Las Vegas police jurisdiction.
