Mineral County quakes felt in Las Vegas

A series of earthquakes that rattled the hills of Mineral County were apparently felt by at least one man in his Las Vegas living room, some 220 miles away.
Retired trucker Tom Dudas said he felt a rolling motion before he learned that quakes of a magnitude 4.2, 3.6 and 4.4 had been recorded about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday southwest of Hawthorne.
Seismologist Tom Rennie at the University of Nevada, Reno, logged a magnitude 3.2 temblor just before 4 p.m. in the same area.
Rennie said the quakes appear to be part of a cluster occurring in the area during the past month.
No damage or injuries were reported.
