A 21-year-old man is in critical condition after losing control of his moped and being hit by a sport utility vehicle Saturday evening.
Las Vegas resident Terrence Harris was driving a 2009 Diamo Velocity Moped northbound on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Symphony Park Avenue when he was thrown off his vehicle and into the path of a 1999 Ford Explorer driven by Davinci Dupree.
Las Vegas police said Dupree was changing lanes and was unable to avoid hitting the moped driver.
Harris was transported to University Medical Center with critical injuries.
