A 39-year-old motorcycle rider died Friday morning in northwest Las Vegas.

The crash was reported just before 10 a.m. at West Centennial Parkway and North Hualapai Way after a pickup truck and a motorcycle collided, according to a statement from the Metropolitan Police Department.

A Las Vegas resident riding a black 2019 Harley Davidson was heading west on West Centennial Parkway approaching the intersection with Hualapai.

A 2004 black Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 17-year-old from Las Vegas was stopped facing east on Centennial Parkway at the intersection about to make a left turn. The crash occurred when the Chevrolet turned left into the motorcycle’s path of travel, according to police.

The Clark County coroner’s office said the motorcycle rider was 39-year-old Joshua Michael Linogon. He died at University Medical Center from blunt injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet suffered minor injuries.

Nearby roads were expected to be closed for several hours while officers investigated the shooting.
