Motorcyclist dies in Saturday night crash

A motorcyclist was killed after striking a curb while traveling south on Rainbow Boulevard about 385 feet south of the U.S. Highway 95 north onramp on Saturday.

According to Las Vegas police, the unidentified rider was hurled into a traffic light pole when he hit the curb after crossing Balzar Avenue, north of Lake Mead Boulevard, about 10:36 p.m.

He was pronounced dead at University Medical Center, according to police. The accident remained under investigation.
