Motorcyclist hurt in crash at Tropicana and Koval; intersection closed

Tropicana Avenue was shut down near the Strip after a motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon, Las Vegas police say.

Officers were called to Tropicana at Koval Lane around 3:20 p.m. and found a crash involving a motorcycle and a silver Chevrolet. The model of the Chevrolet wasn’t immediately available.

Police Lt. Mark Reddon said the motorcycle rider was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. A condition wasn’t known as of 4 p.m., but Reddon said the police department’s fatal unit was not called to the scene.

The intersection remained closed at 4 p.m.
