Motorcyclist killed in collison with minivan identified

A motorcyclist who died Sunday after being struck by a minivan was identified Monday.

Ryan Joseph Callahan, 23, from Nellis Air Force Base, died after being struck by a 2004 Kia minivan at the intersection of Torrey Pines Drive and Alexander Road just before noon.

Las Vegas police said Callahan lost control of the motorcycle after trying to stop for the minivan, which was driving north on Torrey Pines.

Callahan crashed into the minivan.

The driver of the minivan, 68-year-old Judith Michaels, was not injured.
