Motorcyclist killed in south valley collision

A motorcyclist is dead after a collision in the south valley Tuesday night.

Las Vegas police responded to the crash near Maryland Parkway and Silverado Ranch Boulevard about 5:40 p.m.

Police said that a red motorcycle collided with a white Lincoln sedan.

The motorcyclist died from his injuries, police said.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

Eastbound Silverado Ranch Boulevard at Maryland Parkway was shut down while the Metropolitan Police Department Fatal Detail unit investigated the scene.
