Motorcyclist killed Wednesday identified
The motorcyclist who died after hitting a pickup Wednesday night has been identified as Alex Memar, 22, of Las Vegas.
Las Vegas police said Memar was driving north on Valley View Boulevard when, at the intersection of El Camino Avenue, he laid down his motorcycle and was struck by the tow hitch of a pickup crossing Valley View.
The driver of the Ford F-150, Jeffrey Vaughn of Las Vegas, was not injured in the 6:15 p.m. crash.
Memar was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The incident was the 13th fatal accident in the Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction this year.
