Outage at Alaska Airlines causes delays at McCarran

Passengers flying on Alaska Airlines are advised to check the status of their flight before heading to the airport as a system-wide computer outage has caused delays and cancellations on both Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.

While most Alaska flights out of McCarran International Airport were only delayed today, at least one flight, a 4:25 p.m. flight to Seattle, was canceled. Passengers can check the status of both arrivals and departures at mccarran.com.

One local traveler said today that her flight was canceled and she could not be put on another plane until Sunday or even Monday evening.
