Pedestrian dies after struck by pickup truck
A 73-year-old man died early Wednesday after being struck by a pickup truck in Henderson.
Henderson police said the man, whose name has not been released, was crossing Boulder Highway near Warm Springs Road just after midnight when he was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Brandon Ficklin, 25.
Police said the man was jaywalking and was outside a crosswalk when he was struck. He died at the scene.
Although the investigation remained open, it appeared speed and alcohol were not factors in the accident, police said.
This was the fourth fatal traffic accident in Henderson this year.
The Clark County coroner's office will release the name of the dead man.
