Pedestrian killed in the middle of Boulder Highway

A 59-year-old man died Wednesday after he was struck by a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Sasha Harris, 30. Henderson police said the man was hit about 1 a.m. in the middle lane of Boulder Highway near Gibson Road.

Detectives were investigating whether the man was suicidal. He was wearing dark clothing and was not trying to cross the street, police said.

A witness driving a 1978 Ford pickup stopped to help. His truck was struck by a silver vehicle, which drove off. Police said the secondary collision was not related to the pedestrian accident.

The Clark County coroner's office will identify the man, who died at the scene.
