Power outage affects nearly 1,900 in northwest Las Vegas

A power outage Saturday affected nearly 1,900 NV Energy customers in northwest Las Vegas.

The outage was reported at 3:20 p.m., according to the utility company’s website. It affected 1,858 customers within the 89128 zip code, but power had been restored by 5:45 p.m. for all but one customer.

The company said the cause is motor vehicle crash. Power is expected to be restored for the one remaining customer by 11:45 p.m.

Coroner confirms man died in multi-vehicle July crash

The Clark County coroner’s office on Monday determined that a man died from injuries sustained in a July crash, and not from a medical episode.
