Woman, 78, who died in crash identified

A woman who died Sunday after the car she was traveling in collided with a pickup in the south valley was identified Monday by the Clark County coroner's office as 78-year-old Ferro Concetta.

The Las Vegas woman died from blunt-force trauma in an accident, according to the coroner's office.

Las Vegas police said the collision happened about 3 p.m. near Eastern and Serene avenues. Police said the woman was in a Nissan Maxima that crashed with a Dodge pickup. Police didn't disclose whether the woman was driving or what caused the collision.

Concetta was transported to University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
