Clark County inmate walks away from state prison camp

A Clark County inmate serving time for burglary walked away Tuesday evening from a prison camp in eastern Nevada, prison officials said Wednesday.

The state asked for the public's help in finding the escaped inmate, 37-year-old Jeremy Bryson.

The Nevada Department of Corrections said Bryson had been at Pioche Conservation Camp in Lincoln County, about 180 miles from Las Vegas, since Oct. 21.

Bryson was described as a 5-foot-10-inch white man with a medium build, blue eyes and brown hair.

Police believe he could be southbound on US Highway 93. The Pioche camp is near the Nevada-Utah border, about 15 miles north of Panaca.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
