Gov. Brian Sandoval has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff Thursday in honor of National Police Week.
In honor of the week and fallen officers, the 19th annual Nevada Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Ceremony will be on the Capitol grounds in Carson City Thursday.
The ceremony recognizes the “129 Nevada law enforcement officers who have been killed in the line of duty since 1861,” Sandoval said.
United States and Nevada flags will be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset at all state public buildings and grounds.
