Nevada inmate dies at Centennial Hills Hospital

An inmate with the Nevada Department of Corrections died at Centennial Hills Hospital Saturday, according to a release.

Michael Loewen, 50, was serving a 12- to 36-month sentence for grand larceny when he died, a department release said.

The Clark County coroner's office will determine his cause of death.

The release did not say where Loewen, who had been incarcerated since March 20, was serving his sentence or why he was at the northwest valley hospital.
