House damaged in early morning North Las Vegas fire

Updated December 26, 2017 - 10:53 pm

A North Las Vegas home was heavily damaged in a Tuesday morning fire.

North Las Vegas firefighters responded about 4:30 a.m. to a home on 1909 La Villa Drive, near Lone Mountain Road and Clayton Street.

Neighbors wrapped in blankets and bathrobes stood together and watched as firefighters stepped over deflated Christmas decorations in the front yard. By 5 a.m. the fire was extinguished, but whisps of smoke were still rising through the roof.

The front of the home was streaked with soot and the inside of the garage showed heavy damage. It’s unclear if anyone was injured or displaced after the fire.
