No children injured in 2 crashes involving school buses

Las Vegas police are investigating two separate school bus crashes Tuesday morning in the southwest valley.

No injuries were reported when a school bus carrying five students collided with a pickup truck about 6:45 a.m. near the intersection of South Jones Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue.

Another crash involving a school bus was reported just after 6 a.m. near West Russell Road and South Rainbow Boulevard, according to Metropolitan Police Department Lt. David Gordon. Two cars and the bus were involved in that crash. No children were on the school bus. Two people were hospitalized with leg injuries, Gordon said.
