Sections of Interstate 15 will be closed in North Las Vegas for several nights of paving as part of a larger $33.8 million freeway widening project between Craig Road and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the Nevada Transportation Department said.
The right lane along both directions of I-15 will be closed between Speedway Boulevard and an area about 500 feet north of the exit from 7 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, department spokesman Tony Illia said.
The left lanes along that same stretch of I-15 will close from 7 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday.
The 215 Beltway onramp to southbound I-15 will close from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday.
The Lamb Boulevard exit ramp from southbound I-15 will close from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday.
The entire project is expected to be completed by early 2018, when brighter lights, new signs, landscaping improvements and seismic upgrades will come to four overpass bridges along a 5-mile stretch of I-15.
