Tropicana Avenue has reopened to traffic between Maryland Parkway and Wilbur Street.

Las Vegas police had closed the road for several hours while investigating a fatal accident that happened about 3:45 a.m. Monday.

A 50-year-old man was killed after he was hit by a vehicle while walking across Tropicana Avenue just east of Wilbur Street outside of a crosswalk, according to police.

The driver remained on the scene and there was no evidence of alcohol or drugs, Lt. James Mizusaki said.
