Another hot and dry week with ‘virtually no chance’ for rain
September 28, 2015 - 12:09 pm
The good news for those annoyed with triple-digit temperatures is that you might not experience them this week.
The bad news is that Monday through Wednesday, conditions are expected to top off at 99 degrees, making this another hotter-than-usual week.
Normal highs for the end of September should be around 87 and 88 degrees, the National Weather Service said. The lows are normally between 64 and 66 degrees.
The coolest the valley will get this week is 70 degrees on Friday.
Relief is on the way, however, as the weather service said "a cool down is in the horizon." That might start to happen Thursday, when the thermometer is expected to top off in the mid-90s and drop to 91 degrees on Friday.
Washing your cars could be a good idea this week, since there is "virtually no chance" of rain this week, the weather service said.
