Clear, sunny weather expected in Vegas this week

Nothing but clear, sunny skies ahead for Las Vegas this week.

Temperatures are expected to be "a bit above normal" through Sunday, National Weather Service meteorologist Chris Outler said Monday morning.

The high is expected to reach 99 degrees today, before steadily climbing to the 100-to-105-degree range for the rest of the week.

The record high for Sept. 11 is 109 degrees, and for Sept. 12 it is 108 degrees.

"We might get close," Outler said, of breaking the records. But it is not expected.

The normal high temperature for this time of year is 98 degrees. The normal low is 72.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
