Expect triple-digit temps for the rest of the work week, Las Vegas
September 9, 2015 - 2:00 pm
Exactly two weeks away from the official first day of fall, temperatures in Las Vegas continue to soar.
"The main story today is the heat," National Weather Service meteorologist Chad Shafer said Wednesday.
Unrelenting temperatures in the valley will peak at 104 degrees Wednesday, dip to 103 degrees Thursday and climb to 105 by Friday, with lows each day in the 80s — "well above normal," Shafer described.
But the highs are still be low record.
Things will begin to change Saturday, Shafer said, when remnants of Hurricane Linda introduce a possibility of rain.
As for the heat, Valley residents will have to wait and see when their summer will come to an end.
