First 100-degree day in Las Vegas forecast for Wednesday

The Las Vegas Valley temperatures will hit triple digits this week for the first time in 2019, according to the National Weather Service.

Following Tuesday’s high of 98 degrees, Wednesday’s forecast high is 102, meteorologist Trevor Boucher said. Thursday has a projected high of 101.

The first 100-degree day in Las Vegas usually falls on May 26, Boucher said.

Breezes of 20 to 25 mph are expected Thursday night into Friday morning, he said.

Friday has a forecast high of 97, while Saturday and Sunday should see highs of 93.

No rain is expected throughout the week, according to the weather service.
