Las Vegas to see heat midweek before temps drop again

The Las Vegas Valley is expected to heat up in the middle of the week before fall temperatures return.

Sunday hit a high of 84 degrees, National Weather Service meteorologist Chris Outler said, with winds gusting up to about 20 mph.

Also according to Outler:

Winds will continue through Monday, when the high will fall to 88, but should die down in the afternoon. Tuesday’s high will jump to 91, with light winds in the afternoon.

The high will fall to near 87 by Wednesday and should drop to about 67 on Thursday.

Friday’s forecast high is 69, and highs are expected to rise again over the weekend.

“We see our steepest temperature drops in the month of October,” Outler said. “In the next few weeks, it’s going to start to feel a lot like fall.”
