Las Vegas Valley can expect cool temps and sunshine this week

It's going to be a typical, quiet fall week in Las Vegas -- at least when it comes to the weather.

Staying right around normal, the high temperature today will be 68 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunshine, highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s are expected through the first half of the week, NWS meteorologist Caleb Steele said Sunday.

"Monday, we'll start to get southwest winds in here," he said. They'll bring 20 mph winds with gusts around 30 mph.

Monday's forecast high is 66 degrees, and the low is 46 degrees.

Dropping ten degrees below normal, Tuesday's high will be 59 degrees. The low will be 41 degrees.

There's no chance of valley rainfall in the immediate future.

However, Mount Charleston may see some precipitation Tuesday, Steele said. There's a 15 percent chance.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
