‘Little taste of summer’ expected in Las Vegas this weekend

Updated April 17, 2019 - 9:47 pm

The Las Vegas Valley can expect a warming trend through the week and “a little taste of summer” this weekend, the National Weather Service said.

Skies should be sunny to mostly sunny through the weekend, and temperatures will begin to rise, which started with Wednesday’s high of 79 degrees, the weather service said.

Thursday should see a high of 84, followed by a high of 89 on Friday and 90 on Saturday, meteorologist Alex Boothe said. If temperatures on Friday or Saturday reach 90 degrees, it would be the first time this year.

“It looks like we could get there,” he said.

Boothe said a high of 84 is expected Sunday, followed by a high of 87 on Monday. The typical high for this time of year is about 79.

Breezes are likely this weekend, but other days should be fairly calm. Conditions should be dry through the weekend.

Overnight lows are expected to range between 62 and 66 degrees.
