Temps remain unseasonably high for Las Vegas Valley
October 12, 2015 - 6:56 am
High temperatures for the Las Vegas Valley should be in the 82-degree range, the National Weather Service said.
This might not be apparent to valley residents who might be wondering why they can't wear their fall attires.
Monday's forecast of a high of 94 degrees is 12 degrees above average, the weather service said.
And temperatures will rise the next two days.
Tuesday's 95-degrees day is expected to tie the 1992 record high, the weather service said. Wednesday is expected to be the same and could tie the 1950 record high.
Fortunately for Southern Nevadans, showers are coming Thursday and Friday. However, the weather service is not expecting temperatures to cool down much because of it.
Sweatshirts waiting to reunite with their owners might have to wait until Saturday.
Meteorologist Andrew Gorelow said temperatures might normalize on Saturday, with low 80s as the projected high.
But it's still too early to tell, Gorelow said Sunday.
