Winds calm down, temperatures warm up in Las Vegas Valley

Warmer temperatures and calmer winds are in store for Las Vegas.

Tuesday's weather will be "much nicer" than Monday's, which saw winds above 50 mph in some parts of the valley, National Weather Service meteorologist Justin Pullin said.

Tuesday morning, winds will be between 10 and 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. They'll decrease to 5 to 12 mph by afternoon.

The forecasted high temperature for Tuesday is 59 degrees and the low is 40.

Temperatures will increase through the week and get back up into the 70s by Thursday, Pullin said.

No rain is expected in the immediate future.
