Outlook: Blackwell finished third in the Sunrise Region meet last year, and will be looked to for leadership as the Wolves return only two lettermen.
“We’re potentially looking to have a girls and boys 2017 region champion and qualifying both programs into the state meet,” said Sneed.
Shadow Ridge took home the Class 5A state cross country titles Saturday in Boulder City, and Desert Oasis’ Kenan Dagge claimed the individual title.

Last season ended in disappointing fashion for The Meadows’ tennis program after the boys and girls teams lost in the state finals, but both will get another chance this week.
The individual and doubles boys state tennis tournament began Monday and ends Friday. State tournaments also are scheduled for girls tennis and girls golf.
Faith Lutheran’s girls golf team made the 5A state tournament this year and believes it has a legitimate shot to win it all.
