Outlook: Baker and Moore both are coming in off good track seasons in the fall and are hoping to help the Cowboys build as they progress through the season.
“We have some new talent,” Ziegler said. “Small numbers, but we’re adding runners every day. We have some strong returners.”
Shadow Ridge took home the Class 5A state cross country titles Saturday in Boulder City, and Desert Oasis’ Kenan Dagge claimed the individual title.

Last season ended in disappointing fashion for The Meadows’ tennis program after the boys and girls teams lost in the state finals, but both will get another chance this week.
The individual and doubles boys state tennis tournament began Monday and ends Friday. State tournaments also are scheduled for girls tennis and girls golf.
Faith Lutheran’s girls golf team made the 5A state tournament this year and believes it has a legitimate shot to win it all.
The playoff races in boys and girls high school tennis in Southern Nevada are heating up, and the girls golf postseason is about to begin as well.
With less than a week remaining in the season, Coronado tennis coach Dave Willingham is clinging to two dreams, as his boys and girls teams chase Class 5A state titles.
