2017 Faith Lutheran Boys Cross Country Capsule

FAITH LUTHERAN

League: Class 4A Northwest

Head coach: Jeff Edwards, eighth season

Returning lettermen: Six

Top athletes: Koby Ghadery (Sr.), Mark Finley (Jr.), Mark Wilbourne (Jr.), Aidan Baughan (So.)

Outlook: Finley qualified for the Class 4A state meet last year and is one of six returning lettermen for the Crusaders.

“The boys are looking to move up from a fifth-place finish in the region meet into the top three for a trip to Reno for the state meet,” Edwards said. “We have four accomplished runners. Any one of them can be the front runner of the team. What they are looking for is that fifth runner to step up and complete the scoring. We have four roughly working at that position.

“Time will tell if the Crusaders can put it all together.”
