League: Class 4A Southwest

Head coach: Jean Rees, sixth season

Returning lettermen: Six

Top athletes: Jacob Potere (Sr.)

Outlook: Potere, who Rees thinks could challenge the school record time in the 3.1-mile race, leads a group of six returning lettermen for Spring Valley.

“There is a very good chance Jacob Potere will be a state qualifier,” Rees said. “We have many new faces on our men’s team along with our six returning runners.

“Our team is in the process of rebuilding and is looking forward to a great season.”
