Bulldogs’ Hartle runs away with Gatorade award

Centennial junior Nick Hartle was named the Gatorade Nevada Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year on Thursday.

Hartle won the Class 4A state title in 16 minutes, 28 seconds on a 3.1-mile course at Veterans Memorial Park in Boulder City on Nov. 6 to lead the Bulldogs to the team championship.

The award also recognizes academic achievement. Hartle maintains a 3.97 GPA as a member of the National Honor Society.
