CROSS COUNTRY: Roberts helps Centennial boys to narrow win

Dominic Roberts won a 3.1-mile race in 17 minutes, 24.4 seconds on Tuesday to lead Centennial to a narrow victory in a Northwest League meet at Floyd Lamb Park.

The Bulldogs had 37 points, two fewer than Arbor View. Desert Oasis with third with 95, followed by Cimarron-Memorial (99) and Bonanza (102).

Arbor View's Demetrius Turner was second in 18:03.3, and Centennial's Nick Hanson took third in 18:07.8.

Tech rolls to win

At Overton, Matthew Clark won a 3.1-mile race in 20:43.5 to lead Tech to an easy victory with 25 points.

Chaparral was second with 73, followed by Del Sol (91), Boulder City (93), Desert Pines (101), Sunrise Mountain (157) and Moapa Valley (164).

Virgin Valley's Jacob Colburn was second in 20:53.6, and Boulder City's Tyler Campbell finished third in 21:17.6.

Bulldogs roll to victory

At Floyd Lamb Park, Centennial had eight of the top 10 finishers to easily win a Northwest League meet.

The Bulldogs' Alexis Gourrier won the 3.1-mile race in 19:22.4, and teammate Kayla Roberts was second in 22:04.5. Arbor View's Nicole Snow was third in 22:06.3.

Centennial had a team score of 20. Arbor View was second with 53, followed by Cimarron-Memorial (92), Bonanza (105) and Desert Oasis (121).

Tech girls win

At Overton, Tech took six of the top eight spots en route to an easy win with 19 points.

Maylen Alvarez won the 3.1-mile race to lead the Roadrunners. Del Sol's Ingrid Zarate was second, and Tech's Carla Gatson finished third.
