Lundgren helps Boulder City to first-place finish

Matt Lundgren took first place and helped Boulder City’s boys win the small school team title Saturday at the Southern Division Championships.

Lundgren finished the three-mile race in 16 minutes, 4 seconds. His time was seven seconds faster than that of second-place Josh Thompson of Moapa Valley.

The Eagles had 31 points to place first. Moapa Valley was second with 33.

In the girls race, Laughlin’s Jessica Gnadt pulled away to win in 20:14. Boulder City’s Sara Richner was second in 20:51.

Laughlin fielded the only full team in the girls race.
