ROUNDUP: Faith Lutheran boys take top three spots in four-team meet win

Faith Lutheran boys cross country runner Anthony Ponticello won on a 2.25-mile course in 13 minutes, 11 seconds Wednesday at Cheyenne to lead the Crusaders to victory in a four-team meet.
Faith Lutheran scored 29 points to top Virgin Valley (56), Cheyenne (63) and Mojave (74).
Ponticello was followed by teammate Al Sprouse (13:24) and Cheyenne’s Taikye Wright-Brown (13:54).

Eldorado tops Chaparral
At Eldorado, the Sundevils took the top three spots to beat Chaparral, 19-38.

Fernando Duran-Price placed first, covering 2.5 miles in 14:07.
Eldorado’s Collin Abbott (14:36) was second and Tyler Harris (15:59) third.

Gators roll to victory
At Tech, Green Valley had the top three and five of the top six finishers to easily win a three-team meet with 17 points.

Tech was second at 48, followed by Del Sol at 85.
Green Valley’s Julius Kim won the 3.1-mile race in 17:12. The Gators’ Jason Ferraro (17:22) and Matt Campa-Moreno (17:46) took the next two spots.

Spring Valley tops Pahrump, Gorman
At Adelson School, Spring Valley placed four in the top five to finish first with 21 points.

Pahrump Valley was second with 61, and Bishop Gorman finished third with 66.
Alex Samardzij led the Grizzlies, placing second in the 2.54-mile race with a time of 15:10.
Gorman’s Julian Jalani placed first in 14:05.

Marschik leads Aggies to win
At Floyd Lamb Park, Greg Marschik won on a 3.1-mile course in 16:54 to lead Arbor View to 26 points and a win over Palo Verde (48), Moapa Valley (73), Australia Select (91) and Legacy (133).

Moapa Valley’s Josh Thompson was second (17:06) and Palo Verde’s Sebastian Karbowniczek third (17:07).

Mustangs top Bulldogs, Spartans
At Cimarron-Memorial, Shadow Ridge had five of the top eight runners on the way to 27 points and a win over Centennial (34) and Cimarron (76).

Centennial’s Nick Hartle won on the 2.7-mile course in 14:07, followed by Centennial’s Devon Dane (14:22) and Shadow Ridge’s Sam Mahar (14:32).
