ROUNDUP: Greene, Falcons roll to victory in boys cross country

Foothill’s Carl Greene finished first to lead 11 Falcons in the top 13 on Tuesday in a three-team meet at Foothill.
Carl Greene held off teammate Chris Perrine by 10 seconds to get the win. He completed the 2.5-mile course in 13 minutes, 26 seconds.
Perrine was second in 13:36.
Foothill had a team score of 20. Las Vegas scored 41. Mojave had one runner.
One-two punch lifts Valley
At Del Sol, Valley’s Solomon Belay crossed the line 15 seconds faster than teammate Rudy Frias as the Vikings took the top two spots and won a four-team meet.
Belay finished the 2.4-mile course in 13:07. Frias was second in 13:22.
Valley’s team score of 39 was nine points better than Basic. Del Sol (65) and Pahrump Valley (67) rounded out the field.
Shadow Ridge takes six of top eight
At Cimarron-Memorial, Jonathan Clark finished second to lead six Shadow Ridge runners in the top eight as they won a three-team meet.
The Mustangs finished with 23 points. Legacy (54) was second and Cimarron (77) third.
Legacy's Zach Ipson won the 2.7-mile race in 14:53. Shadow Ridge's Sam Mahar was third in 15:18.
