ROUNDUP: Greene leads Foothill boys past Coronado, Del Sol

Foothill’s Carl Greene won a 2.8-mile race at Coronado on Tuesday to lead the Falcons (32) past Coronado (41) and Del Sol (60).

Greene won the race in 15 minutes, 21.1 seconds. Foothill had five runners finish in the top 10.

Del Sol’s Colin Smith (15:26.5) was second, and Coronado’s Alan Ekanger (16:11.5) finished third.

Basic wins five-team meet
Basic placed four runners in the top seven on the way to winning a five-team meet it hosted on a 2.5-mile course.

Silverado’s Dante Carter took first in 13:44, followed by Basic’s Johnny Stiles (14:12) and Silverado’s Blake Ferron (14:40).

Basic scored 23 points, followed by Silverado (39), Valley (84), Boulder City (111) and Canyon Springs (150).

Marschik leads Aggies to win
Arbor View’s Greg Marschik placed first to lead the Aggies to victory in a four-team meet at Floyd Lamb Park.

Marschik covered the 2.85-mile course in 15:33. Moapa Valley’s Josh Thompson (15:44) was second, and Palo Verde’s Tomas Johnson (15:47) finished third.

Arbor View finished with 33 points, followed by Palo Verde (49), Shadow Ridge (66) and Moapa Valley (104).

Green Valley tops Tech
Green Valley’s Doug Harrs won a 2.6-mile race at Liberty in 14:21 to lead the Gators to a 25-34 win over Tech.
