ROUNDUP: Greene paces Foothill boys to four-team win

Carl Greene finished first on a 2.5-mile course in 13:40 to lead Foothill’s boys cross country team to the home win Tuesday in a four-team meet.
Foothill’s Brian Marshall was second in 14:06, and Tech’s Zach Zimdars took third in 14:13.
The Falcons won with 20 points, followed by Tech (47), Eldorado (76) and Sunrise Mountain (111).
McMillan leads Vikings to victory
At Chaparral, Valley’s Alex McMillan won on a 2.5-mile course in 14:23 to lead the Vikings to a win in a three-team meet.
Valley (28) was followed by Las Vegas (33) and Chaparral (59).
Las Vegas’ Lino Rubie (14:34) was second, and Valley’s Drake Dawson (15:02) placed third.
Stiles leads Basic to victory
At Del Sol, Jonathan Stiles won on a 2.4-mile course in 13:17 to help Basic score 19 points in an easy three-team meet win.
Del Sol and Liberty both finished with 59 team points.
Del Sol’s Nick Priego took second in 13:40, and Basic’s Kaleb Stumbaugh was third in 13:49.
Bulldogs dominate tri-meet
At Palo Verde, Centennial took eight of the top nine spots to cruise to victory in a three-team meet with 18 points.
Palo Verde (60) was second, followed by Faith Lutheran (66).
Centennial’s Nick Hartle won the 2.8-mile race in 15:30, followed by teammate Dominic Lopez, who was second in 15:42.
Faith Lutheran’s Anthony Ponticello took third in 15:46.
Marschik leads Aggies to victory
At Cimarron-Memorial, Greg Marschik won on a 2.65-mile course to lead Arbor View (19 points) past Cimarron (43).
Cimarron’s Samuel Mayo took second, and Arbor View’s Brandon Cunningham was third.
Individual times were unavailable.
Cougars use depth to claim win
At Arroyo Grande, Coronado placed only one runner in the top five, but still won a three-team meet.
The Cougars finished with 35 points to top Green Valley (42) and Silverado (53).
Cameron Neal, who finished fifth with a time of 17:47 on the 3.1-mile course, was the lone top-five finisher for Coronado.
Silverado’s Dante Carter won race in 17:09.
